In 1988, Anabel began a ten year career in the music industry as PA to Jill Sinclair and acclaimed record producer Trevor Horn, working across the various Sarm Group companies including ZTT Records and Sarm Studios. Posts as A&R Co-ordinator at Musidisc UK and Chrysalis Records followed.
In 1994, a love of dance music and the emerging scene led to Anabel setting up her own DJ management company, Marching Management. After a year, with a roster of eight, she joined forces with her brother Tim, who had launched the first ‘legal’ DJ mix series, Journeys By DJ. Anabel became General Manager of JDJ and the company released over 25 albums in the next six years. She was key to launching the global tour division which visited over 15 countries and the JDJ Group, eventually consisting of several labels, a recording studio, design & merchandise and artist/DJ management, licensed to V2 in 1998.
During this time, Anabel became a major shareholder in The End nightclub and was responsible for promoting a monthly Saturday night, Triptonite, for the first two years. She also became a founder member of Soho House.
In 2000, Anabel joined event producers Peters & Beach and was responsible for a wide range of events. Career highlights include the 100th Anniversary of Perrier Jouet, the Steinmetz Flawless Engineering Experience, the launch of Debeers LV and the Tambour watch launch for Louis Vuitton. She was promoted to Management & Client Services in 2003.
In November 2005, Anabel set up Quintessentially Events with Caroline Hurley.
